Joseph is a registered massage therapist, sport injury therapist, full body ART(c) provider and personal trainer.  Joseph has an extensive and eclectic background.  In the past Joseph has spent 6 years training in martial arts in Japan, holding black belts in two different fields.  Joseph also served in the Canadian Forces Army Reserves.  Previously, he was a theatre performe and giant puppeteer, with advanced training in physical theatre after completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre directing.  Through all of this, Joseph has collected many injuries, gaining experience in the healing and return-to-sport process.

When asked to explain his treatment philosophy, Joseph explains: "I like to work with athletes and other active people to help them achieve ever higher levels of performance and physical awareness.  I see injury as a blessing for it gives us the chance to reflect upon and improve our sports technique, movement patterns and/or our physical composition.  I am a believer in the pro-active approach to therapy.  I use manual therapy work (massage, ART, hydrotherapy, stretching) combined with rehabilitative exercise and functional movement training to achieve lasting results.  Client education and monitoring of progress is key to my approach to therapy."
