Clarence Crawford, RMT
Sports/Thai/Pregnancy/Swedish Massage
Clarence left behind 18 years in the information technology/senior management corporate world, to return to school full time in January 2006 to become a Registered Massage Therapist at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Toronto.
Many have asked why such a career switch? While I.T. can be cutting edge, exciting and very financially rewarding, I find that you cannot put a price on being "stress free", finding "happiness" and "helping people". I often tell people that I have had more people say "Thank you" in the first week of massage therapy than 18 years in the I.T. Corporate world combined.
While Clarence has a concentration in Sports Massage, Clarence is also a Reiki Master, Certified Personal Trainer, Thermal Plus Palms Certified Practitioner (similar to Hot Stone). Clarence is also certified in pre/post natal pregnancy massage and IFC/TENS - Ultrasound, Cranio Sacral Therapy, and Thai Massage (studied in Chiang Mai, Thailand).
Clarence has a love for the natural healing arts and plans to further his natural healing modalities by adding ART, Shiatsu, Lome Lomi, Tunia and Ayurvedic Massage.
Clarrence's motto is: "Find a career that you LOVE and you will never have to WORK another day in your life".
Clarence's treatment goals are to help assist my clients to heal themselves, not only with hands on techniques, but also homecare tips and exercises including visualization and self empowerment.
